
Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neural Substrate of Psychopathy
A postdoctoral position in neuroscience and forensic psychology is currently available in Dr. David Kosson’s laboratory at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Ph.D. in psychology/neuroscience or related field is required. Prior experience conducting research studies in psychopathy, cognitive neuroscience, and/or affective neuroscience is highly desirable. Candidates should also possess experience, or strong interest, in working with incarcerated populations and experience coordinating research projects and managing a research team. Job duties include: Working with a research team on a grant funded study examining the neural systems underlying the cognitive and affective deficits associated with psychopathy in incarcerated populations; assisting with preparation of grant proposals, ethics/IRB proposals, and manuscripts; writing manuscripts based on collected data from grant funded studies; and submitting applications for independent grant funding. Hires will receive training in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data collection and analyses. Position will include occasional access to the Mind Research Network Mobile Imaging System (in collaboration with Dr. Kent Kiehl) that is deployed to prisons.
