Twenty Second Annual Meeting of the Society for Research in Psychopathology

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTERS:
First, consult your acceptance notification for instructions about your presentation. General instruction follow:
For poster presentations, boards on which to place your poster will be 4 feet X 8 feet (1.22 m X 2.44 m). Push pins will be provided. On Thursday, posters may be hung beginning at 4:00 pm. On Sunday, posters may be hung at 8:00 am.
For oral paper presentations, presenters may load their presentations in the morning or during breaks as much ahead of time as they wish, but no later than 15-20 minutes in advance of the session. Speakers should arrive at the room in which their presentation will be given 15 minutes before their session begins in order to make final preparations and discuss how to most effectively transition between speakers. We will be provide both PCs and Macs connected to LCD projectors.
For symposium presentations, the same recommendations apply; however, please contact the symposium chair to discuss/confirm these details.
The Twenty Second Annual Meeting of the Society for Research in Psychopathology will be held at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, starting Thursday, September 25, 2008 through Sunday, September 28, 2008. The opening reception and poster session will begin on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Paper and plenary sessions will take place Friday and Saturday, with the final poster session concluding at noon on Sunday. The banquet will be on Saturday evening. Michael Pogue-Geile is the local host.
The 2008 SRP meeting venue will be the newly renovated Hilton Pittsburgh, which is centrally located in downtown Pittsburgh, adjacent to Point State Park at the confluence of Pittsburgh's three rivers.

A block of rooms have been reserved from Thursday, September 25, through Saturday, Saturday 27.
Reservations are required. Rooms must be guaranteed by a deposit of one night’s charge by credit card or check, which will be charged immediately. This prepayment will be refunded completely if cancellation is received 24 hours in advance of the reservation. An early check out fee ($50) will be added if checking out prior to reserved departure date.
Room Rate: $129/night single occupancy, $139/night double occupancy, plus 14% tax (USD).
Group rates and rooms are only available until August 26, 2008.

The Hilton is a non-smoking facility. Guests wishing to smoke should request a smoking room. Complimentary guest room high speed internet and access to the Fitness Center and Business Center is provided. Self parking is $21.25/night.

DIRECTIONS / TRAVEL INFO:
Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is about a 30-40 minute drive from the Hilton Pittsburgh and is serviced by most major airlines.
Transport between Pittsburgh International Airport and the Hilton Pittsburgh:
1) Yellow Cab (412.321.8100) (approximately $33 one way). Board at taxi stand at airport. The most convenient, although expensive.
2) Express Shuttle (http://pghyellowcab.com/express.cfm) ($20 one way, $10 with student ID, $35 round trip). Purchase tickets at Express Shuttle desk near baggage claim area. No reservations required. Departs airport every 30 minutes. Stops at the Hilton.
Also quite convenient and reasonably priced.
3) City Bus (PAT) (schedule at: http://www.portauthority.org/PAAC/tabid/241/default.aspx) ($2.60 one way, exact change). Board the 28X Airport Flyer.
The least expensive, but takes longer. Stops near Hilton at Liberty Avenue.
4) Rental Car. All major rental car companies have offices at the airport near the baggage claim area. Directions from the Pittsburgh International Airport - Exit airport and turn left onto PA-60 South. PA-60 South will merge into I-279 North. Take I-279 North through the Fort Pitt tunnel (get in left lane), Exit at #6B, Liberty Avenue. At traffic light make a left onto Commonwealth Place. The Hilton is on the right.
Pittsburgh is serviced by Amtrak (www.amtrak.com), with direct trains to New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Washington, DC. The Pittsburgh Amtrak station is downtown and a short cab ride to the Hilton.
The Greyhound Bus (http://www.greyhound.com/home/) station is downtown, a short cab ride from the Hilton.
